The project involves the renovation of a fifth-floor apartment in Savona, overlooking
Piazza della Rovere and Via degli Orefici.
The project transforms the traditional distribution system into a fluid and contemporary space
by demolishing partitions and creating a large central hall, connected to the
entrance and kitchen via steel and glass portals that filter and connect the spaces.
New bathrooms—two bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in closet—are constructed with dry-wall structures,
while articulated false ceilings integrate utilities and lighting. The project includes the complete
renovation of the systems, with underfloor heating and controlled mechanical ventilation. The
material palette alternates seamless parquet and porcelain stoneware inserts, defining functions and
flows. The project creates a bright, coherent, and contemporary space, balancing
innovation and historical memory.
